Yes, we are talking math to Loom Knit. As you begin to explore different looms, fibers and stitches math plays a part. Even if you are just going to use a different yarn than what is called for in a pattern.
As a knitwear designer, creating our own patterns and even stitches math is crucial for our planning and final results. Once the math is complete it'll even ensure you get the right amount needed. If you take the time to do the math you will complete your project with ease and look just like it should.
The very first step before breaking out your calculator is to make your swatch you will need the count of stitches and rows per inch.
Two great resources we use is GoodKnitKisses she has a FREE Online Calculator. Just enter your numbers and it does the rest.
